MiWK is delighted to offer another season of outstanding, internationally renowned musicians. Our programme will appeal to many musical tastes – classical, jazz, piano, strings and wind. Geirþrúður Anna Guðmundsdóttir (cello and piano) 24 October 2025: Praised for her “technical mastery” and “extraordinarily musical” performances, Icelandic-American cellist Geirþrúður Anna Guðmundsdóttir is carving a distinctive artistic voice, combining sensitivity with a bold and fiery stage presence. She has performed at major venues across the world. Geirþrúður will be accompanied by pianist Antoine Préat. Winner of numerous awards, Antoine has performed at prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall and Frederyk Chopin Insitute, as well as appearing on BBC Radio 3, France Musique and Scala Radio.
Tim Kliphuis Trio (swing jazz) 21 November 2025: We are delighted to welcome back to MiWK the ever-popular swing violinist and Sony recording artist Tim Kliphuis and his brilliant accompanists, Nigel Clark (guitar) and Roy Percy (bass). As an example of their numerous achievements, they have recently performed at the Amsterdam Canal Concert, curated the world fiddle night at Celtic Connections Glasgow and celebrated Stéphane Grappelli at the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois-sur-Seine. The Trio have collaborated with the Netherlands and Tallinn Chamber Orchestras, The Hague and Cape Town Philharmonic and Sinfonietta Amsterdam.


Da Vinci Piano Trio 16 January 2026: comprising Tony Moffat/violin (Leader of the Orchestra of Scottish Opera), Robert Irvine/cello (formerly Senior Professor of Cello and Chamber Music, RCS) and Liivi Arder/ piano (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), the Trio are noted for their relaxed, witty and informative introductions and for their expressive playing. Performances of note include festivals such as Glasgow, Dartington, Sound Festival (Aberdeen), and a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune.
Meraki Duo (flute and guitar) 20 February 2026: The Meraki Duo – Meera Maharaj (flute) and James Girling (guitar) – have spent the past decade performing extensively in the UK. Winners of the II International Chamber Music Competition for Flute & Guitar in Spain (2023), the duo met as students at the Royal Northern College of Music, where they quickly connected through a shared passion for chamber music, jazz, Latin American styles, and contemporary works.


Kammerphilharmonie-Europa Chamber Orchestra 27 March 2026: an orchestra based in Cologne, whose extensive tours have taken them to Switzerland, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Denmark, Netherlands and Ireland. Their tour for 2025 /2026 will comprise a chamber orchestration of 8 musicians, and their repertoire is likely to include Vivaldi, Grieg, Ponchielli, Bach, Faure and Mozart.
Milena Simović (viola and piano) 24 April 2026: Equally at home as a violinist and violist, Serbian Milena Simović is enjoying an illustrious international career of concerto, recital and chamber music performances. She has performed alongside some of the most established personalities of today’s music scene, and has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, Medici TV and Rai Uno. Milena holds a professorship at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. She will be accompanied by multi-prize-winning South Korean pianist Jung Eun Séverine Kim, who has performed in prestigious venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and Seoul Arts Center.
